Plumcroft Primary

The transformation of this disused toilet block from its original state into a beautiful Rainforest Reading Room is nothing short of remarkable. With a leaky roof, broken windows and damp it presented a unique set of challenges.

However, a forward thinking head teacher, a capital grant from the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the dedication and skill of the school team and local community meant that the creation of a combined study space and reading for pleasure library became a possibility.

ABC used Rainforest themed wall paper to cover the walls, circular bookcases (that hold a surprising number of books for their size!) and the usual cushions and blankets to make the space feel welcoming and cozy. The children are delighted with their new space, it's become quite the feature in the school. We're sure they will enjoy it for many years to come.
